DESCRIPTION:15 high-school youth will participate in the I Am Enough program. This program is in partnership with the Pro Youth & Families “Youth Engagement Squad (YES)” Project which is a service-learning project focused on optimal health by equipping youth with knowledge and skills to build healthy relationships and support healthy decision-making with an emphasis on teen pregnancy prevention.  They will have Love Notes EBP curriculum and Youth Voice Project.

SUMMARY:2024 College Bound Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:The College Bound Luncheon is an annual luncheon celebrating the academic success of young Black women\, high school graduating seniors\, in Sacramento and surrounding areas.  \n​This year Sacramento Sister Circle/Our Rightful Place #CBL24 planning committee\, and members will host college readiness virtual session and an in-person celebration filled with love\, fun\, vendors\, valuable resources\, information\, and gifts for each student.  \n​After the event\, ongoing support\, resources\, financial blessings\, and gifts are shared with the students their first year of college and mentoring and sponsoring relationships are fostered during their college journey.  \n​We have “graduated” and celebrated 11 cohorts of Young Black Women and are actively supporting recent cohorts. This completely volunteer and self sufficient “Sistership” has impacted over 150 young women! #CBL2024 #CBL12
