Christi Ketchum’s Bio:
Through 25+ years of working in the non-profit sector, Christi has facilitated and identified gaps to create programs that provide strategic direction, political education, leadership development, opportunities and resources to enrich leaders that can advocate for themselves and others.
In 1998, Christi imagined creating a safe space for Black Women & Girls especially to come together, become stronger leaders, creating sisterhood through the experience of sharing stories, and building meaningful relationships. That vision began resurfacing in 2009, when she founded Our Rightful Place. She was inspired to create a network for Black Women to come together for positive and critical dialogues, collaboration, and action. From there the Sacramento Sister Circle (SSC) was established: and continues to grow: both in member numbers, and impact. In 2O21, SSC celebrating their 10 year Anniversary, reaching an active online membership of 9,000+ Black Women, and continues to encompass holistic health, wealth building, expanding horizons, acquisition of knowledge, mentorship and political engagement.
Through this work Christi has established herself as an accomplished and recognized changemaker expanding as a Consultant and Business Owner, that continues to support ongoing local efforts that inspire and uplifts the Brilliance of Black Women Leadership, a Legacy of making a positive difference in the lives of their families, communities, and the world.
