Escape Velocity’s programs provide safe spaces for youth to discover who they are, explore topics that impact their daily lives, cultivate skills, and develop into leaders and change-agents for their communities.

LITERACY PROGRAMS

Our literacy programs serve youth ages 8-13 years old and provide the ability to read proficiently which is a fundamental skill that affects the learning experiences and school performance of children and adolescents. Students who are competent readers, as measured by their performance on reading tests, are more likely to perform well in other subjects, such as math and science. Reading achievement also predicts one’s likelihood of graduating from high school and attending college.
