Peace family. We had another great book club meetup last night. Thank you to everyone that lent a hand in making this a success.
The boys (and girls) all stood up and read aloud and participated in the discussion. They finished at chapter 7 this week of Styx Malone. They enjoyed a light dinner from Subway with sandwiches, chips, and juice.
We believe that Literacy is Essential and continue to push reading and understanding vocabulary to our program attendees. At the end, we had two young teenagers speak a few words to the group on the importance of reading.
The next Boys in the Hood Book Club meetup is Friday, August 9, 2019. We will be camping the weekend of July 26, 2019.
