The Escape Velocity / Sojo Museum #SacTownYouthNights is a catalyst for youth and their families to have a safe space to hang out on 1st and 3rd Friday nights while enjoying a wide range of exciting activities in a positive environment. Youth will have an opportunity to network and get to know each other, all while engaging in literacy and the arts. FREE food from Under the Moon Catering, live music with DJ One Gone, art activities, raffle prizes, games, 360 photo booth, entertainment and more.

Melanin Day School Showcases – Enjoy an amazing showcase of African dancing and drumming from the Melanin Day Scholars at 6:30pm
Kwanzaa – Learn about Kwanzaa with Dr. T Chaka. Great Kwanzaa raffle prizes.
Carnival Concessions – The first 75 people will receive free chicken wings, red beans & rice and peach cobbler (funded by VA58 Neighborhood Partnership).
PPE and COVID19 Resources Giveaway – We have winter self-care bags with face masks, hand sanitizers, COVID19 tests, and more (funded by VA58 Neighborhood Partnership).
Kwanzaa Art and Coloring Books – The first 25 youth will receive a free Kwanzaa coloring book with their Kwanzaa craft at Anissa’s Art Corner (funded by VA58 Neighborhood Partnership).
