Dana maeshia youth wellness fair 08/27/22
We’re proud to present our first annual Dana Maeshia Youth Wellness Fair. Saturday 8/27/22 from 4pm-8pm. This is our #SacYouthWorks MindOneSix youth service project. There will be wellness and career exploration vendors, food, shaved ice, music, prizes, art activities, hula hoops, Jenga, bag toss, face painting, African drumming, game truck (6pm-8pm), sewing, high blood pressure and blood sugar testing, nutrition facts, COVID19 resources, meditation, poetry, and lots of FREE FUN!!! We will have guest speakers Chris Lodgson of Sac Black Biz and Tim Poole of Hooked on Fishing Not on Violence. We’ll have Poetry from LaRock and Coon the Poet. We’ll have Mediation and Sound Bath by Light & Water. Come join the fun in memory of our beloved Dana Maeshia!
The first 100 registered youth ages 12-19 will receive a free SWAG bag with lots of goodies! Register now.
Fun for the whole family to include multicultural food vendors, local retail vendors, a kids zone, multiple entertainment stages with LIVE BANDS, workshops, contests, and MORE!

Adults:(18-64) $8 in advance and $10 at the gate.
Child(6-17), Seniors (65+), & Military w/ ID $6 in advance or $8 at the gate.
Children 5 and under are Free.
VIP Access tickets:
21+ Only
$20 includes 1 Banana Festival and access to a tented VIP seated area!
This year’s theme is Banana International!
Proceeds from the Banana Festival support the National Academic Youth Corps, a non-profit organization that supports the arts and community!
Donations requested for youth ages 12-19. Escape Velocity is seeking mini body lotions (unisex), 2022-2023 planners, and $20 gift cards for our youth SWAG Bags. We have some great items already but would like to add these as well.

Escape Velocity’s girls literacy program for youth ages 8-13.

Join CA Community College on August 16 (Hispanic) or August 19 (Black/African American) for a FREE ZOOM Cash for College Workshop from 5:30pm-7pm (PST).
Students who attend will have a chance at winning a $1,000 scholarship.
We provide our program participants, their families and the Sacramento community with resource referrals. Use the form below to request third party services through Escape Velocity. We will match you with the correct service provider based on your selections. Your information is confidential.
In partnership with the Central Kitchen, Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services and No Kid Hungry.. Food boxes and fresh produce to community members at five different locations each weekday between Monday, June 27 and Friday, August 12. Grab-and-go curbside distribution is available 8:00am – 9:30am on the assigned days.
