The Escape Velocity / Sojo Museum #SacTownYouthNights is a catalyst for youth and their families to have a safe space to hang out on 1st and 3rd Friday nights while enjoying a wide range of exciting activities in a positive environment. Youth will have an opportunity to network and get to know each other, all while engaging in literacy and the arts. FREE food, live DJ, art activities, raffle prizes, games, 360 photo booth, entertainment and more.

Sojourner Truth Contest – In honor of Sojourner Truth Day 11/26/22, We are having a contest to dress up and perform the Sojourner Truth Monologue “Ain’t I A Woman”. Winner will receive $200.
Langston Hughes Contest – In honor of National Family Literacy Month, We are having a contest to dress up and perform the Langston Hughes Poem ” I, Too Sing America”. Winner will receive $200.
Turkey Giveaway – We’ll have a few turkeys as part of our raffle

This custom event is presented by students, creative minds, innovative leaders, and culture-driven organizations. The design focuses on experiences via hands-on learning labs and experiential collaboration. All students and guests will enter an environment where we provide educational pathways to
internships, resource hubs, college exploration, and career pathways. The overall theme will include mental, physical, and athletic modalities that are fun and enriching. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST COMPLETE BOTH WAIVERS**.
