The Escape Velocity / Sojo Museum SacTownYouthNights will be a catalyst for youth ages 12 to 24 to have a safe space to hang out on 1st and 3rd Friday nights from 6pm-9pm at Florin Square while enjoying a wide range of exciting activities in a positive environment.
Youth will have an opportunity to network and get to know each other, all while engaging in fun filled activities. Each event will have FREE food, games, entertainment, literacy, art and activities for the youth and their families. All are welcome!!

oak park black film festival
The Oak Park Black Film Festival is an inaugural celebration of African-American stories and history through cinema. It is a five-day event, showcasing independent feature, documentary, and short films by African-American filmmakers, along with panel discussions, and exclusive events. The celebration will be hosted at the Guild Theater, a historical venue and the centerpiece of the 40 Acres Complex, beginning September 7th and continue through September 11th.

Youth will learn how to start a business, plan for success, and more. Lunch will be provided. Small start-up mini grants will be provided to a select group of young entrepreneurs.
