Who We ARE
Escape Velocity Resources Foundation, Inc. (Escape Velocity) is a community based organization located in Sacramento, CA with 501 (c)(3) tax-exemption founded in 2017 whose “soul” purpose is to assist youth and their families with escaping their gravitational pull. We provide the tools along the runway so that each individual can take flight.
We do this in a variety of ways by implementing programs where young minds are developed. We believe that if gravitational pull is identified by an individual early, and they are able to see the places they can go by escaping it, then they will be equipped with the inner resources needed to navigate through life. We believe it is through our youth that generational trauma can be broken and will be the catalyst for changing the trajectory to a course that is more desirable.
We believe our youth and the community should be well SAID! (Safe, have Access, be Inclusive and Diverse).

Who We Serve
Escape Velocity empowers youth ages 8–24 and their families throughout Sacramento and surrounding areas, with a focus on historically marginalized and under-resourced communities. We nurture their resilience, celebrate their cultural strengths, and provide the tools, support, and opportunities they need to overcome systemic barriers in education, employment, and mental health.

What is Escape Velocity
Escape Velocity is a physics terms which defines the moment or rate of speed when gravitational pull no longer has an effect. To be able to soar to whatever heights one wants to reach has to be equivalent to true freedom. The possibilities become limitless and full potential is then reachable. This concept was used to birth Escape Velocity Resources Foundation, Inc by Dana Maeshia in 2017.
