Youth Library Leadership Program (YLLP)

Applications for the fully virtual Youth Library Leadership Program open December 18 at 8 a.m and close on December 26 at 11:59 p.m. The program will take place January 18 – February 19 and is open to all interested youth between the ages of 13 – 18 years old. Participants who complete the program will receive a $300 stipend.

Youth Aide application deadline: Friday, January 7, 2022 – 4:00pm

Youth Aide – $15.00 per hour, Saturday & Sunday, 8:00am – 2:30pm. Youth Aide applicants MUST be 14-17 years old on February 5, 2022 and reside within the Sacramento city limits to be eligible (not just have a Sacramento residential address). Counselor – Children and Youth

WEAVE is hiring a full-time counselor that will be dedicated to serving families referred by the Black Child Legacy sites.

Under the general supervision of the Counseling Services Manager and Chief Program Officer for Counseling and Outreach, Counselor will provide therapeutic counseling services to children, youth and parents. Counselor will serve unserved/underserved youth at risk of or experiencing family or community violence and their families, referred by the Black Child Legacy Campaign and the community.

Are you a youth that feels misunderstood or overwhelmed? Talk to someone about what’s happening.

The California Youth Crisis Line (CYCL) operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week as the statewide emergency response system for youth (ages 12-24) and families in crisis.  Youth can call, text, or chat.

The Center for Counseling and Diagnostic Services (CCDS) is accepting new clients for Spring 2022 wait-list. It is a free counseling service provided by Sac State and is a great free resource for Sac State students and Sacramento community members to use. Counseling services are for adults, couples, family units, and children. Counselors can help with, but are not limited to anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and relationships.
